Hi, I'm Sophie, born and raised in Gloucestershire, and the owner, creator and face behind Mindful Mantra Embroidery.

Whilst working from home in a job I truly loathed, I started using creativity as an outlet in the midst of the UK national lockdown. I have always dabbled in various crafts to keep my mind at rest, and in May 2020, Mindful Mantra Embroidery was born.

Embroidery has become my comfort. It is a slow craft, that brings me so much joy to create patterns and pieces from start to finish, and to help others learn how to master the craft, too

My shop name came to be from a blog that I created many years ago, at a time when I was really struggling with anxiety, negativity and life in general. I wrote blogs about being mindful, present, positive, happy and healthy. Researching the topics and trying to implement it into my life helped me enormously, so much so that I stopped updating it and no longer needed it.

But, that being said, it was an important milestone in my life, and I wanted to carry that message through into my business. I am a firm believer that embroidery is a practice of self-care, mindfulness and stress-relief, and it excites me to have a business grounded on those beliefs.

For me, embroidery quickly became, and still is, my comfort. It brings me so much joy to create patterns and pieces from start to finish, and it is an honour to be able to call this my business. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me in that journey.
