Hand poured in Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds, Stowsmiths create 100% soy wax candles and melts inspired by travel and botanicals. We use premium fragrance oils infused with essential oils. Our candles are made using lead-free cotton wicks for an eco-friendly clean burn.

Our founding principle is to make high quality home fragrance products at accessible price points whilst never compromising on sustainability.  Our candles are vegan, cruelty free, phthalate and petroleum free and packaging is fully recyclable.

Stowsmiths began as a creative outlet whilst living in east London. I was working in the book publishing industry and missed the connection with nature that I grew up with in Derbyshire. I undertook an RHS horticultural evening class and also started a fragrance blending course and from this my passion for oils and botanicals grew. My publishing job took me around the world, often travelling alone and so I started to travel with my own blended travel candles in my luggage ready to light up on arrival.

Now happily settled with my family in the  Cotswolds and surrounded by nature I launched Stowsmiths as a business at the end of 2022 with the intention of bringing high quality home fragrance products to market. My aim is to help you unwind and seek comfort in small moments of joy through scent.
